Arc Offers Workshop on Internet Safety for Caregivers of People with Disabilities Oct. 7 in St. Paul

ST. PAUL – If you have a grandchild or child with an intellectual or developmental disability, you may worry about the risks they might encounter on the Internet. Arc Greater Twin Cities invites caregivers to get educated about online safety at Keeping Safe on the Internet: A Primer for Caregivers. This workshop will be offered on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Arc Greater Twin Cities, 2446 University Ave. W., Suite 110, St. Paul.

The featured speaker will be Karina Berzins of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. As Training and Education Coordinator, Internet Crimes Against Children, she has educated many Minnesota residents about this timely topic. Her valuable advice can help families be safe and smart about Internet use.

This workshop is $10 per person for Arc members and $25 for non-members. To register or get more information, call Arc at (952) 920-0855. No one will be turned away for inability to pay. If you need accommodations to attend this workshop, please notify Arc two weeks before the workshop date.
