A “night of ukes” will feature Katy Vernon, Marlowe Teichman, Corey Mohan, Dave Randall, Jake Rowan, Lady Date, Niki Becker, Eric Carranza, Mary Bue, and more! Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with an Open Mic (all skill levels are invited!) with the UkeFest starting at 7:30 p.m.
Katy Vernon has been described as”One of the Twin Cities’ most beloved folky singer/songwriters.” Star Tribune, Chris Riemenschneider. She was born and raised in London, UK, but in the past dozen or so years has established herself as one of the busiest musicians in Minnesota. Combining melodic pop/folk songwriting with her twangy Americana band. She has appeared with acts such as Garrison Keillor and the James Sewell Ballet, in addition to more than 50 shows a year. She also puts on her annual Uke Fest benefit. She uses her love of singing and playing ukulele, to make musical and charitable connections far and wide, including her ongoing support for The Arc.
