Community Engagement

Community engagement refers to the process by which organizations and individuals build ongoing, permanent relationships for the purpose of collectively improving communities. Effective community engagement means The Arc continually learns from the communities it works with. This enables The Arc to make more informed decisions with the community based on a greater understanding of disabilities and their related issues.

Those with disabilities and their network have a range of personal and professional knowledge and expertise that should be utilized to inform and influence decisions made within the communities that impact them. The Arc is here to help foster greater community engagement.
