Citizen Advocate Academy

The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance policy staff and Arc Minnesota staff will conduct a legislative advocacy training to individuals with disabilities, families, friends, and professionals seeking to become more civically engaged. Attendees will:

  • Deepen their understanding of Medicaid in Minnesota
  • Develop or hone personal stories highlighting experiences with services and supports provided through Medicaid
  • Get help framing their solution-oriented ideas for improving or reforming Medicaid
  • Increase capacity to engage in general grassroots advocacy efforts within the disability community
